These Terms & Conditions apply to participation in the 2026 Business xCellence Awards, operated by Bx Pty Ltd (“Bx”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By creating an Awards application or participating in the Business xCellence Awards, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
The Business xCellence Awards recognise outstanding businesses, leaders and changemakers across a range of business and industry categories.
Entry into the 2026 Business xCellence Awards is free and open to eligible entrants worldwide, subject to the eligibility requirements of the relevant Award category.
The Awards Night will be held on Saturday 13 March 2027 at Shangri-La Sydney.
Eligibility may vary depending on the Award category selected.
It is the entrant's responsibility to review the available categories and select those that appropriately reflect their business, achievements or circumstances.
You must be authorised to submit an application and provide the information contained within it.
Bx reserves the right to determine whether an entry meets the eligibility requirements of the relevant Award category.
Entries for the 2026 Business xCellence Awards close on Monday 21 December 2026, unless Bx announces an extension or alternative closing time.
Applications are completed through the Business xCellence Awards online application portal.
The Awards use a progressive save process. There is no separate final “Submit” action.
You may save, return to and update your application while entries remain open. At the official closing time, the information saved against your Awards application will become the entry considered for assessment.
It is your responsibility to ensure your application is complete and that all information you wish to have considered has been saved before entries close.
Bx is not responsible for incomplete applications resulting from an entrant failing to complete or save their information before the closing time.
All information provided as part of an Awards application must be accurate and provided in good faith.
By entering, you confirm that:
Bx may request clarification or supporting information where reasonably required to assess or verify an application.
Providing materially false or misleading information may result in an entry being disqualified.
Entrants may provide supporting evidence as part of their application, subject to the requirements of the application portal.
Supporting evidence may include documents, links, images and other material relevant to the application.
Unless otherwise stated in the application, a maximum of eight supporting evidence items may be provided.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring they have permission to provide any submitted material and that doing so does not infringe another person's intellectual property, confidentiality or privacy rights.
AI tools may be used to assist with drafting or refining an Awards application.
However, the entrant remains responsible for the accuracy, authenticity and substance of everything submitted.
Applications should genuinely represent the business, its achievements and its experience.
Generic, inaccurate or unverified AI-generated responses without substantive human input may be taken into account during assessment.
Awards entries will be assessed using a combination of relevant information and assessment methods.
Depending on the Award and application, this may include:
Application questions or individual assessment areas should not be interpreted as representing the complete weighting or final judging outcome.
Bx may undertake reasonable verification of information provided in an application.
Judging decisions are final. Bx is not required to provide individual scores, detailed judging notes or reasons for a particular result unless Bx chooses to do so.
Entrants may apply for the Award categories available through the Business xCellence Awards application.
Selecting a category does not guarantee eligibility for that category.
Bx reserves the right to confirm whether an entry meets the eligibility requirements of the category selected and to decline an entry that does not meet the relevant criteria.
If a material change to an Award category affects an existing entrant, Bx will endeavour to communicate that change where appropriate.
Finalists are expected to be announced in early January 2027.
Being selected as a finalist does not guarantee an Award.
Finalists and winners may be publicly announced and promoted by the Business xCellence Awards and Bx.
If you or your business is selected as a finalist or winner, Bx may use reasonable identifying information for Awards-related promotion, including:
Commercially sensitive application responses, confidential supporting evidence and private financial information will not be published simply because an entrant becomes a finalist or winner.
Entering the Business xCellence Awards does not automatically include a ticket to the Awards Night.
Awards Night tickets are purchased separately and are subject to availability, applicable pricing and the ticketing or event conditions displayed at the time of purchase.
Early Bird tickets are available from campaign launch at $297 including GST per person, subject to the advertised Early Bird period and availability.
Ticket pricing may change after the Early Bird period.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, entering the Awards does not require you to purchase an Awards Night ticket.
Any applicable cancellation, transfer or refund conditions will be provided as part of the Awards Night ticket purchase process.
The Business xCellence Dashboard Report is not an automatic benefit provided to every Awards entrant.
The Dashboard Report is a bonus available to eligible businesses represented at the Awards Night through a qualifying ticket purchase, subject to the applicable Awards Night offer and eligibility requirements.
Submitting an Awards application alone does not create an entitlement to receive a Business xCellence Dashboard Report.
Information collected through Awards applications may contribute to de-identified and aggregated research, benchmarking and media insights relating to the business community.
This may include analysis of areas such as business confidence, growth expectations, barriers to growth, hiring outlook, technology and AI adoption and future preparedness.
Bx will not disclose identifiable applicant or business information, or commercially sensitive application information, externally for these purposes without permission.
Further information about how Awards information is collected, stored and handled is available in the Business xCellence Awards Privacy Policy.
Entrants retain ownership of the original content and intellectual property they submit as part of their Awards application.
By providing material as part of an application, you grant Bx the right to access, reproduce and use that material where reasonably necessary to administer, assess and judge the Awards.
Where an entrant becomes a finalist or winner, Bx may also use the entrant's name, business name, logo and approved or publicly available promotional material for reasonable Awards-related publicity.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of an entrant's underlying intellectual property to Bx.
Personal and business information collected through the Awards will be handled in accordance with the Business xCellence Awards Privacy Policy and applicable privacy requirements.
Bx will take reasonable steps to protect confidential and commercially sensitive application information.
Entrants should not submit confidential information belonging to another person or organisation unless they are authorised to do so.
Bx will take reasonable steps to maintain the Awards website and application portal but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access at all times.
Entrants are responsible for allowing sufficient time to complete and save their application before entries close.
If a significant technical issue affecting the Awards platform occurs, Bx may take reasonable steps to address the issue, which may include extending an entry deadline where appropriate.
Any extension is at Bx's discretion and should not be assumed unless officially communicated.
Bx reserves the right to disqualify an entry where there are reasonable grounds to believe that:
Where appropriate, Bx may seek clarification from the entrant before making a decision.
Bx may make reasonable changes to the Awards where necessary, including changes to dates, categories, judging arrangements, event details or other operational matters.
Where a significant change affects entrants, finalists or ticket holders, Bx will endeavour to provide reasonable notice.
To the extent permitted by law, Bx is not liable for loss arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including interruptions to third-party technology or services, internet outages or events that prevent or materially affect the operation of the Awards.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
By participating in the Awards, you submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and any courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
